Maria Mendoza

I moved to New Zealand with my young son in the mid-90s from the Philippines, where I worked as a dentist.

After working in Auckland as a dental hygienist for over 20 years, I decided to relocate to beautiful Tauranga in 2021, which I now proudly call home.

With my extensive knowledge and experience, my goal is to make every dental visit a comfortable and enjoyable experience, while helping people see the importance of maintaining their oral health.

Coming from overseas myself, I truly enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and diverse cultural backgrounds. I love connecting with my patients and believe that a cheerful attitude and a great sense of humour can make a big difference – many of my patients leave my surgery with a brighter smile.

Outside of work, I love experimenting with Asian-fusion dishes in the kitchen or having a good boogie with friends.
